Tiana Skinner

Tiana has been with Strictly Stage since she was just 5 years old, attending classes at what was then know as “Kidz Academy” at Canford Heath First School.

When she was 14 she had her very first singing solo as “Teen Fiona” in Shrek the Musical which sparked a brand new passion for not only singing, but acting and drama as well. Whilst with Strictly Stage, Tiana has played many different roles in our shows such as Sophie from Mama Mia, Wednesday from The Addams Family as well as solo singing opportunities in sections such as The Dreamgirls, The Lion King, The Greatest Showman and many more.

She has gone on to gain a D* Btec Diploma in Performing Arts as well as graduating from Arts University Bournemouth in 2020 with a BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre.

Throughout her education she was lucky enough to play roles such as Sherrie from Rock of Ages, Eponine, from Les Miserable, Elle Woods from Legally Blonde and Maureen from RENT. In recent years Tiana has been enjoying being on the other side of our productions as a creative script write and co director which is something she has found great joy and passion in. Discovering love behind the scenes of our wonderful performances and thoroughly enjoying watching our students take the material she writes and making it their own, she describes as “a true privilege”.

Tiana’s day job is now working the head offices at Lush Cosmetics which she loves, and she also is very involved in the local Amateur Dramatics scene, performing in productions held at Bournemouth Pavilion and The Regent Centre Christchurch. Some credits include The Addam’s Family, Shrek the Musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Singing in the Rain and Legally Blonde.
