Abi Burney

Abi has been a part of Strictly Stage since the age of 4, back when it was called “Kidz Academy” to help build her confidence and get her talking more, now she doesn’t stop!

Abi started her Strictly journey at Ad Astra in the after school session with Liz as her first teacher. She has taken part in a variety of the classes we have to offer and naturally progressed to be a teaching assistant. Her first assisting role was with Pre-school Musical Theatre and Ballet and since then she’s gone on to assist many other classes alongside our teachers such as Ad Astra, Upton Infants, Junior Musical Theatre. Her last show was 2024 as she went off to welcome a beautiful baby girl into the world, who you might even see take over the stage one day! Abi now teaches alongside Alex at Wimborne First School and attends our Adults class on a Thursday night taught by Phoebe,

Externally to Strictly Stage, Abi studied Beauty Therapy in college and qualified in level 2 & 3 treatments such as waxing, massaging, spray tanning & nails.

“I feel so privileged to be given a role of becoming a teacher and can’t wait to watch all of the kids grow and improve”. She loves everyone at Strictly Stage and is so grateful for all the friendships she has made over the years!
